Inspektorat Kota Tanjungbalai mengadakan sosialisasi Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 12 Tahun 2017 tentang Pembinaan dan Pengawasan Penyelenggaraan Pemerintahan Daerah di Aula I Pemerintah Kota Tanjungbalai, Kamis 02 Agustus 2018.
Sosialisasi yang dibuka langsung Wakil Walikota Tanjungbalai Drs.H Ismail dihadiri Inspektur Susanto, Kepala OPD, ASN dan LSM serta narasumber dari Inspektorat Jendral Kementerian Dalam Negeri, Wiratmoko.
Wakil Walikota mengatakan, pemerintah meyakini bahwa kegiatan yang dilaksanakan merupakan wujud nyata dukungan kita bersama dalam pelaksanaan tugas, fungsi dan wewenang pemerintahan daerah dalam menghadirkan tata kelola pemerintahan yang baik. Ia juga mengatakan, pelaksanaan sosialisasi tersebut sangatlah penting dan harus benar-benar diikuti dan diperhatikan oleh seluruh peserta. Hal ini berdasarkan petunjuk dari pemerintah pusat, agar semua daerah memiliki pemahaman terhadap pengawasan pemerintahan. Dalam pengawasan sekarang ini merupakan masa dimana kita perlu mempersiapkan diri.
Wiratmoko sebagai narasumber menjelaskan, PP ini harus segera dipahami secara menyeluruh di daerah masing-masing agar memiliki pemahaman yang sama dalam pengawasan penyelenggaraan pemerintahan dan dia juga berharap Kepada Kepala OPD, ASN, LSM dan masyarakat yang saat ini menjadi peserta sosialisasi dapat menjadi corong informasi ke publik, sehingga tidak menimbulkan permasalahan di tengah masyarakat.
Sebab esensi pengawasan bukanlah semata kita melakukan pembinaan pada tahap awalnya, namun lebih dari itu dalam pengawasan ini harus ada integritas dan pemandu seluruh sumber daya pengawasan yang ada dalam rangka pencapaian tujuan penyelenggaraan pemerintahan daerah.
